Tess Martin will be taking part inĀ a panel about the challenges and benefits of being a video artist tomorrow night at ArtsWest gallery in West Seattle. Five of her short films are playing at the front of the gallery in this group show, Domestic Patterns, that includes work from visual artists Sue Danielson, Diane Culhane, Grace Willard, & Scott Schuldt. The reception for the show starts at 6PM and is part of the West Seattle Art Walk, and the panel begins at 7:30 in the theater.
It should be a very interesting discussion covering everything from distribution, sale of work, copyright, media galleries and media education for youth. Maile Martinez from Reel Grrls and a representative from 4Culture will also be on the panel. If you can’t make it to this event tomorrow the show itself is running until April 23rd, so come check it out!
